But that's all besides the point. Once I picked up the gang, the house was much too crowded and I needed to cook our fantastic brunch so I kicked everyone out and I got to listen to Ella Fitzgerald, Lady Gaga, Adele, Lisa Ono and Erykah Badu. About an hour and a half later (I made a big feast) the dining room table (that I made Ken clean and set) was covered with Macadamian nut and chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and smashed sweet potatoes. Oh and my somewhat signature sangria I just named "strawberries delight" because I make it out of fresh strawberries, wine and champagne....yum. Don't worry, we started eating after 12p, so technically, we weren't being wine-os and alchies. And everyone was stuffed. Ken and Makke got my mom a bodywash-type kit thing while I got her a Paul Frank towel, new sunvisor (she uses when she surfs) and a new pair of slippers. Junior got her an iPad. I think he wins, but don't worry, her bday is coming up in less than a month so I'll have some time to one up him somehow.
Yesterday, I had meant to go workout and then I decided that I'll buy a wii fit (finally) to do some yoga at home....but then I fell asleep around 8ish. And didn't wake up until 7am. Yep, slept like a baby and it felt nice.
Today, Brent picked me up and I took him to his tattoo session and then met up with Trina to hang out with her. We ended up going to the Himilayan Kitchen, which I always seem to recommend to everyone. We had fun ordering naan and tandoori mixes and stuff I can't pretend to pronounce. It was very good and we overate. Then we went to Coldstone to wash everything down.By the time I got to Brent, I was full and practically rolling up the steps to the tattoo place.
Man...and it's only Tuesday. Tomorrow is ballroom day and I'm super excited for it again. Well...it's getting late and apparently, I can sleep longer than my six-year old sister so...g'night.
Is that the real R2D2?
Nope, it's a cake! Crazy, huh? Those Ace of Cakes guys (Foodnetwork anyone?) are ridiculous. I'd want them to make me something creative and awesome.
Like I said, I'm an awesome daughter. I get the family together. Yay, me. And my momma :)
